Ernies is a solid breakfast spot with friendly service and great food. The mollete is a musttrycrispy bread, melty cheese, refried beans, and fresh pico, simple but really good. The coffee hits the spot.

We visited Ernies twice on a recent visit to Southlake Tahoe. Once for breakfast, once for lunch. Both times, the food and service were excellent. This place is a step up from a diner, with simple food made in a quality way. Portions also huge. Lovely staff and great atmosphere.
Amazing staff, friendly and welcoming place, very very clean and fresh smelling, variety of options on the menu including vegetarian, vegan, and dairy free. The food was great and very fairly priced. I definitely recommend and will return when Im back in the area.
